How to Undo a Friend Request on Facebook
Have you accidentally friend requested someone, or otherwise just decided you want to revert adding him or her to your Facebook friends list? There is no explicit option to take back the addition, but it is possible — you have to block him or her, then unblock (if you wish to do so). This is how it’s done through the new Facebook layout.
To block a person, hover over the Settings link (toward the top-right corner to the left of the search box), and go to Privacy Settings. From there, under Block List you should see a search box. Search the person’s name, and you can find and block them in the search results that follow. To unblock them, click the (remove) link by their name on the Privacy Settings page. The pending friend request confirmation should now be purged.

how to unblock for adding friends? its showing - You are blocked from adding friends due to continued misuse of this feature.
Your failure to comply with an earlier warning has resulted in this block.
Continued misuse of Facebook’s features may result in your account being permanently suspended.

what do you do if that person’s name doesn’t appear in the search? like if they have blocked people from searching them up on facebook…..

do you have to remove them immdiatly after you block them? what happens if you leave them blocked? they can see your request??

At the top of your screen:
- highlight “friends”
- click on “all friends” - all of your friends will appear, even those with a pending friend request (it will say “Friend Request Pending” under their name
- go to that person and you will see a gray box with an X in it.
- click on X and it will ask you if you want to proceed with removing friend request

I haven’t tested that but I would imagine it still sends the email if the person has it configured to receive them
Perhaps it won’t if you catch it in time, but again I haven’t tested that…

It doesn’t show them in my friends page whatsoever. And I went to their website and it says “awaiting friend confirmation.” So what now?

46 - in the bottom left side of their page, you can click the link to block them… then just unblock them in your privacy settings.

once you block the person the pending friend request will be gone right. so when you unblock the person right after that, the pending friend request will not be restored is it?

That’s right… I think there are other ways of undoing friend requests now, so I’ll need to update this post soon, but the block/unblock method should still work…

i blocked a person on facebook and now i want to unblock that person how dod i do that?
